Higbee Consulting International (“HCI”) assists companies which are expanding or restructuring their overseas activities anywhere in the world (including China) to maximize profits and minimize risks.
HCI advises on importing and exporting operations, as well as on overseas investment, acquisition, manufacturing, energy, natural resource, training, strategic and intellectual property issues.

For over 30 years (including six years based in Beijing) I have been assisting companies ranging in size from small start-ups to several in the Fortune Global 10, including the 1st, 4th, 5th and 7th largest corporations in the world (Shell Oil, BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips).
I have also advised foreign governments and government-owned entities in China, Kazakhstan and the Philippines.
RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE
While employed by the international division of a large U.S. multinational corporation (the Atlantic Richfield Company, or “ARCO”), I was awarded employee excellence awards (plus a cash bonus) three times for my success in finalizing three difficult international projects. More recently, while engaged as a consultant, one of my clients was so pleased with my results that it voluntarily gave me a 50% bonus after I completed its international project.
WORLDWIDE EXPERIENCE
In addition to China, I have completed major projects in many other locations around the world. Those locations include Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. I have completed smaller projects in scores of other countries.
I have lived and worked in Kazakhstan (formerly part of the USSR) and China (Beijing) and speak Chinese (Mandarin).
